Our faculty brings together senior coaches from Leadership Choices who have worked in a wide variety of contexts and have previously held leadership positions in various organizations. They combine a deep understanding of leadership with sound coaching experience from their own practice. Their expertise is underscored by their own publications in specialist articles and books.

Doris van de Sand
Doris van de Sand (ICF MCC) supports executives in personal development and transition phases – from new leadership responsibilities to international communication and challenging conflict situations.
As an international ICF mentor coach, EMCC-certified coach supervisor, mediator, and member of the Ethics Commission of ICF Germany, she attaches particular importance to reflective, value-based coaching processes.
Doris is a partner at Leadership Choices, leads the module ‘Coaching Practice Put to the Test’, co-leads the Executive Coaching module together with Swaan Barrett, and both jointly head the LC Coaching Academy.

Swaan Barrett
Swaan Barrett (ICF PCC) supports executives, teams, and organizations in complex transformation processes—in executive coaching, team coaching, and organizational coaching.
She combines many years of international experience in senior HR roles, including as Head of International Learning and Development at a professional services firm, with a clear eye for opportunities and concrete next steps.
As a partner at Leadership Choices, Swaan is co-lead of the Executive Coaching and Organizational Coaching modules and runs the LC Coaching Academy together with Doris van de Sand.

Karsten Drath
Karsten Drath (ICF PCC) has been a managing partner at Leadership Choices since 2008 and supports executives and organizations in transformation processes.
After more than 15 years in international leadership roles – including at Accenture, Bombardier, and Dell – he found his way into professional executive coaching with a focus on resilience and leadership through psychotherapeutic training.
He is the author of numerous books, teaches at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and the Hasso Plattner Institute, among others, and is co-founder of the Cosmikk Foundation, which provides free access to high-quality coaching for NGO leaders in crisis regions.

Richard Grillenbeck
Dr. Richard Grillenbeck (ICF PCC) empowers individuals and teams who want to remain effective and capable of working in teams in dynamic environments.
He works with executives and teams on clarity of roles, collaboration on an equal footing, and a resilient leadership attitude, and shares his experiences in books such as "TEMP-Coaching®" and "So bleibst Du teamfähig" (How to Stay a Team Player).
At Leadership Choices, Richard is co-lead of the Agile Community and active as an associate coach in various projects.
