Stuart has always had a passion for leadership and getting results through motivating people. He is an ex-CFO at Foster’s, Kraft and Unilever with 25 years’ experience, including 8 years living and working across cultures in Asia and Japan (he is fluent in Japanese).
It was when he was coached for the first time as CFO at Foster’s, individually and as part of a leadership team, that he was hit by the dramatic impact of coaching – on energy, relationships, effectiveness and performance. So he qualified as a coach and became coaching champion for the business, and led the embedding of a coaching performance culture. His story has been published in the CIPD journal Coaching at Work, Financial Director, Treasurer magazine and others.
Stuart has become recognised as a successful leadership coach working with a wide range of clients and sectors, including over the last 12 months in Pharmaceuticals (Astra Zeneca, Sanofi), Banking (RBS), Construction (Lend Lease, ISG), Energy and Security (Centrica, G4S), Media (UBM) as well as Law firms and public sector organisations.
Stuart’s coaching is engaging, supportive, but challenging - and comes with commercial, financial and strategic acumen to ensure grounded, pragmatic business focus.
He is trustee of a youth offender rehabilitation charity, and coaches youth rugby. He has a Cambridge Law Degree, is a qualified coach with NLP accreditation, and is a member of the Association for Coaching.
