Village Schools in Karbianglong
We are committed, because we want to change things:
With the help of our partner, Childaid Network, we finance students’ education, teachers’ salaries, and teaching materials for 6 night schools in northeastern India (southern Assam). These institutions provide schooling for young people between the ages of 13 and 20, who have had no prior formal education at all. Apart from the three Rs, they learn about hygiene, agriculture, and the English language. The program is very successful. In several hundred villages, a new leadership generation has been raised over the past few years, which has significantly changed the living conditions in these villages for the better.
Our contribution reaches about 250 youngsters, for whom we provide long-term support.
